christmas program

august had his christmas program this past sunday.
the kids participated in different activities and ended with singing.

our first stop was the live nativity.
and august was joseph.
he told me this a few days before from his "thinking place."
then two night before, he told me he spoke.
which made this mama a little nervous.
he really didn't speak, but i have no doubt he would have nailed it if he did.

our next stop was cookie decorating.
and it was serious business from the looks here.

they also made a christmas tree out of their hands for a local nursing home.

it was such a wonderful afternoon,
spent celebrating the christmas season.

we tried the cake again.
the day after her real birthday.
she was timid.
then she dove in,
and liked what she tasted.
but mostly she liked how her brother acted when she tried to touch him!

the kids were anxiously waiting.

and enjoyed each other's company.

here comes the start!

one of august's favorites.

lots of great floats and good music.
all the cousins that were in the parade were on the opposite side,
but we enjoyed their dancing and cheering anyway.

a great start to the holiday season!

tatum's party

we celebrated a few days early with family and football.
everyone met up at hunting camp in anticipation for some cake smashing and nole winning.
unfortunately, neither of those things happened!
